Honda CBR 500 R is the soon to be released sports bike from Japanese maker, Honda , that belongs to middle weight category. The bike was fits showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 014 held in Delhi in 014. It is a light and compact bike with a short wheelbase and hosts a responsive chassis. The bike will be able to reach 100kmph mark from zero in just 5.7 seconds and it would be able to touch a top speed of 85kmph. It would be available in both ABS and non-ABS versions. It is expected to yield a mileage of around 20mpl in the city and 25kmpl on Highways. With conventional telescopic front suspension and Prolink mono with 9 stage Preload adjuster with steel square pipe swing arm rear suspension, the bike is sure to offer a smooth performance. The bike offers great cruising at high speeds and navigating back roads.
Honda CBR 500R Expected Prices and Competition
The bike will be up against the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300R and KTM RC 390. It is expected to be priced around Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. The company is working on localisation of this bike in order to keep the costs down.
