Kawasaki Z250 SL Overview

Kawasaki Z250 SL is already available in the Indonesian market and according to confirmed reports, it will make way to the Indian market by the year end. Z250 SL is not a twin cylinder like the Z250 and so it will be comparatively cheaper than the other. And for all of those unaware SL in the name stands for Sport Lightweight.

Z250 SL derives its power from a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, parallel twin, mono cylinder, DOHC engine that delivers a good 27.62bhp of maximum power at 9700 rpm and 22.6Nm of peak torque at 8200rpm. When comparing to other competitors of the same segment it is slightly more powerful than KTM 200 Duke and soon to be launched Benelli TNT 25. Well as it will be costlier than the Duke 200 for sure so it can even be compared to Duke 390 but the Duke is way ahead of the Z250 SL in terms of performance.

According to international market where it is already available and tested, Z250 SL delivers a fuel economy of 19km/lt. Talking about the price point, Kawasaki motorcycle will always be costly and Z250 SL will surely sit in between Duke 200 and Duke 390 so it can be said that it will fall into a price bracket of INR 1.80 lakhs to 2 Lakhs.
